Kim Jenkins is the NOC Supervisor at WVNET.
Kim Jenkins has worked in Information Technology for over 40 years. While attending Fairmont State University for a two-year degree in computer programming, she was promoted from bank teller to night-time computer operator for Fairmont Federal Credit Union’s first in-house computer system.
In the 1980s, Kim relocated to Salt Lake City where she was hired at Hercules Inc., a Department of Defense contractor, as a computer operator. She returned to West Virginia in 1988 and began her employment at WVNET in 1989 as a Junior Computer Operator.
Throughout Kim’s tenure at WVNET, she has witnessed numerous transformations in the computing environment and was promoted to NOC Supervisor, a position she continues to hold.
Outside of work, Kim enjoys camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. She dedicates much of her free time to her five grandchildren.
